NOTICE TO MARINERS NO. 49/2014
ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE SHIPPING TRAFFIC
COAST OF SURINAME 
GEOPHYSICAL SITE HAZARD SURVEY

In the period October 31st till November 30th, 2014 the company Mitch Jie-A-Looi N.V. will conduct a geophysical site hazard survey in block 4, 34 km (kilometers) from the coast of Suriname. The survey area (block 4) has the following coordinates:

The surveys will be conducted with the vessels “M/V Vimar 1” (survey vessel) and “M/V Gladys Mc Call” (support vessel). During activities one vessel will pull a streamer with a length of 100 meter.

For safety reasons a distance of at least 3 (three) nautical miles should be kept from the vessels.

Communication is through the VHF channel 16 and 12.
