SWIMMING MARATHON
SHIPPING TEMPORARY PROHIBITED

On Thursday July 1st 2010, the Swimming Marathon will be held in the Surinameriver.

The starting point is at Domburg (5° 42’ 05” N - 55° 04’ 48” W) and the finish at the Marine Trap (5° 49’ 31” N - 55° 08’ 56” W) in Paramaribo, marked with an orange ball.

The section mentioned above is temporary prohibited to all shipping between
11:00 h – 15:30 h.

The swimmers are escorted by boats of the Maritime Authority Suriname, Maritime Police and Suriname Swimming League.

All ships are requested to take notice of the above mentioned.

DIVING ACTIVITIES

The company Suriname Diving N.V. is performing diving activities on behalf of Staatsolie Company in de Saramaccariver 1 mile eastward of the bridge near Monkshoop for the maintenance of the 14 inch high-pressure oilpipeline.
During the activities they make use of a pontoon and the vessel Profosoe.

The activities started on June 05th, 2010 and will finish at June 09th, 2010.

All ships are requested to take notice of the above mentioned.
