The Maritime Authority Suriname has launched her second boat the “WARAKU” on Sunday 3 January last. Below are the technical data of the vessel:

Width:    3.9 m
Engines:  the vessel has been equipped with 2 (two) Caterpillar C9 engines with a capacity of 500 HP at a rotational speed of 2500 RPM. Both engines have been equipped with an alternator in connection with the supply of electricity on board the vessel. The electricity is necessary for feeding the Airco Units (2), the blowers of the engine rooms together with all navigational and radio communication systems.
Capacity: 7 persons
Casco (Body): The material the vessel has been made of is aluminum.
