With reference to NtM NO.61/2021T, regarding exploration drilling by the drillship Maersk Valiant, the public is informed that she will be moved to the drilling site at
07° 21.3’ N – 055° 51.5’ W (WGS 84). The drillship will conduct exploration drilling off the coast of Suriname from 17th November 2021 till 17th February 2022.

For safety reasons vessels should keep a safe distance of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drillship.

Please note:
• Communication is through the VHF channels 16 and 77.
• There is a SAFETY ZONE of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drilling site.
• Maersk Valiant is not maneuverable and will display the relevant characters.

The public is hereby informed that the part of the Suriname River approximately 400 (four hundred) meters from the shore, located between the van Sommelsdijck creek and the SMS Jetty is temporary considered a Security Zone where entry as well as anchoring of vessels is prohibited.

The Security Zone will be in force on Thursday 25th of November 2021 from 00:00 till 24:00 hour.

The area is indicated by the following coordinates:

SHIP TO SHIP TRANSFER

From 1st till 5th October 2021, cargo transfer will take place at the Suralco General Dock on position 05°36.599 N and 055°5.245 W. Round logs will be transferred from the barges Big Hub 12 and Big Hub 17 to the MV Ithaca Stockholm. The barges will be towed by the tugboats Massive 3 and Massive 6.

The vessels will be limited in maneuverability during this operation.

Communication will be through VHF channel 12.

RESEARCH DRILLING

With reference to NtM NO.40/2021T, regarding exploration drilling by the drilling rig Maersk Developer, the public is informed that the drilling rig will be moved to the drilling site at 07° 25’.490 N – 056° 00’.480 W (WGS 84). At this site the drilling rig will conduct exploration drilling off the coast of Suriname from September 17th till December 30th, 2021.

For safety reasons vessels should keep a safe distance of 1000 (one thousand) meters from the drilling rig.
The Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) that will assist during the operations are M/V Bourbon Topaz, M/V Brad Dartez, PSV Felton Tide and PSV Delta Monarch.

Please note:
• Communication is through the VHF channels 16 and 77.
